It was a November to remember, when life got relentless.

I wrote these tunes shortly after an eye-opening experience - a severe allergic reaction that I haven't experienced before. I ironically titled one of the tunes "November to Remember". Ironic because when I went to open up the project a month later, I had no recollection of ever writing it. Amnesia.

The part I'm missing from the story is that somewhere in there, I got into a car accident and got a head injury. 'Mild' traumatic brain injury and whip lash. I'm 4 months in and still have a bit to go.

The brain is such a peculiar thing. We need it to do anything, but we're limited by how we know to use it. After having lived through this experience, I've come to understand consciousness a little bit better.

Every thought and perception triggers the brain to release chemicals based on our environment/experience. Those chemicals produce trains of thoughts. We are not our thoughts. We have some control over those thoughts and how to react to them, but they do not define who we are. Think about that for a second.. or perhaps - don't.. If you truly were your thoughts, you'd be able to stop your thoughts on a dime.. Right?
The Self is higher. It's the one that you live up to, to serve your purpose.

Patience, above all else.
Persistence, is next.
