I'm grateful for my brain for not letting me down. It's been a tough ride dealing with a recent brain injury from a car accident. I took my brain for granted when things were firing correctly. It used to be easy.

Usual thoughtless activities now require careful consideration and focus. Things that took 1 hour now take 2 or 4, and requires all of my brain capacity.

Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise. I'm thankful I can still write music. I'm forced to be more thoughtful in every step of the way.

It could always be worse, and the brain will heal if you allow it to!
